About Me

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”

Carl Jung

Welcome! My name is Lydia Miller, and I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and mother of three. I’m a full-time nurse consultant and part-time blogger, and I am unspeakably excited to have you join me as I dive into the past and sit quietly in the present.

My Why

There is an apprehension that seems to be downright intertwined with the amount of vulnerability that has been necessary in the unfolding of my life onto paper, but for all the nights that my hands were held to the keyboard I would like the reader to know that the urge to share my story was never from a place of needing to be seen by others, but rather from the fear of me never having seen myself.

As my thoughts have turned into clarity and my words into stories, I have become increasingly aware that I am inching closer to something greater than myself. In the absence of my own judgment I invite the world to embrace the unraveled fullness of life with me, as my stories are yours too. May my posts be heard in the voice that is mine, and may the peace that settled within me upon the submission of each passage find resonance with you.

This, is my Golden Opportunity.
